Tasting Room Associate

NAVI Wine Bar is seeking a part-time Wine Server to work 4 days a week. The ideal candidate should be professional, be reliable, enthusiastic, and have a passion for wine. In this role, the Wine Server will work in a team environment to build strong connections with our guests and successfully promote our products and services.

 

Open Shift

Wednesday: 5:00PM – 10:00PM

Thursday: 5:00PM – 10:00PM

Friday: 5:00PM – 12:00AM

Saturday: 5:00PM – 12:00AM

  

Start Date: As soon as possible.

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch wine and food service to NAVI Wine Bar guests.

• Create a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere in our winery tasting room by providing outstanding hospitality.

• Fully understand and effectively communicate our wine products and services to our guests.

• Educate our guests on the history of the brand and the wines.

• Properly open and pour NAVI Wine Bar wine.

• Handle cash drawer, wine, and food sales.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Work with integrity, and perseverance, and treat all guests and team members with respect.

• Support and carry out the mission and vision of NAVI Wine Bar.

 

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Two years of previous work experience in the restaurant, bar, or wine industry.

• Strong passion for wine, serving others, and growing the NAVI Wine Bar brand.

• Engaging, outgoing, approachable personality.

• Passion for meeting new people and evangelizing wine products.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

• Above average knowledge of wine and the wine industry.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., and familiarity with or ability to learn point of sale systems and winery software.

 

Work Environment

• Projects can take place both indoors and outdoors where temperatures can range from cold to hot depending on the season.

 

Physical Demands

• Full body mobility. Ability to stand, walk, bend, sit, use tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Regularly required to roll, move, and/or lift 60-gallon empty wine barrels when needed.

• Ability to work for extended periods of time at a computer.
